Week 20

Knit - Bamboo Pop Knit Cardigan

Crochet - Serge Crochet Sweater Indigo

This week’s patterns are two simple summer-weight cardigans. The knit
version features Universal Yarns’ Bamboo Pop, a cotton/bamboo blend.
The super easy chain stitch crochet version features Berroco’s Indigo,
a cotton yarn made from recycled jeans.

Week 19

Knit - Garter Shawl Poems Sock

Crochet - Sonata Shrug

As an incentive for our long-color repeat challenge, the patterns this week highlight ways of
using a yarn with a long color repeat and show how different the yarns can look between knit
and crochet. Although both of these patterns use Wisdom Yarns  Poems Sock, any sock weight
yarn can be used. By the way, this challenge can also be completed with a weaving project!

Week 18

Knit - Vertigo Scarf

Crochet - Crazy 8 Shawl

A recent bout with vertigo brought on by a sinus infection was decidedly not fun, but I decided
to use the lemons of experience to make lemonade for you. I queried Ravelry for vertigo and also
dizzy and crazy cause that was the way the vertigo made me feel. So this week’s patterns, although
not the same type of project and coming at the wrong season, definitely fit with the vertigo theme.
The crocheted shawl uses a worsted weight yarn with a long color repeat such as Noro’s Silk Garden,
Kureyon,or Taiyo. The knit scarf uses two yarns, one plain and one variegated skein of six-ply
sock yarn and or a sport weight yarn. I think this would look great with Schoppel Wolle's
Zauberball Starke 6 paired with one of the new Wonderland Yarns Mad Hatter colors. Have some
crazy fun with these!

Week 17

Knit - Brown Sheep Heart Lace Wristlets

Crochet - Crochet Textured Mitts

Today’s patterns are a couple of sweet projects that would be perfect for Mother’s Day.
The knit fingerless wristlets feature a heart motif and uses Brown Sheep’s Serendipity Tweed.
The crocheted fingerless mitts use a light worsted or DK weight yarn.  Try Universal’s
Bamboo Pop or Ella Rae’s Cozy Bamboo.
